Mesmerization is not what you will do after finishing reading this article as we will tell you on how you can power your Samsung Mesmerize device with the Gingerbread based 2.3.4 MIUI ROM. This update of ROM is applicable for all those whose phone is locked to the US Cellular as for also all those whose devices are open or locked to any other network. Basically the MIUI ROM is a non-stock ROM and is a customized built ROM which is developed by the Chinese developer community and comes with some cool features like great looks, speed and also comes with a whole new range of settings and is purely based on the latest Gingerbread 2.3.4 ROM. Pre Upgrade instructions:

• Before proceeding you will have to make sure that you have rooted the Samsung Mesmerize and also kindly note that after rooting the device you will lose the warranty though it can be reclaimed once you un root the phone which is quite possible.
• Once you have rooted the phone you will have to proceed to install the Clock Work Mod in your Mesmerize which can be done by downloading and installing the ROM Manager from the Android Market Place.
• Once the CWM is installed you can now follow with the rest of the instructions which are mentioned below.
• ensure that you have synced all your contacts with your Google Account, all sms, applications, videos and music files which are there in your phone should be taken a backup or else the data will be lost. Anything which is in SD card will not be lost, so you can alternatively move to SD Card.
• Next up remove the SIM card as well as the external SD cards if any in your phone, just to make sure that in an unlikely event the data in it doesn’t get corrupted,

• Once you do this, you will have to boot your phone in the Recovery mode using the Clock Work Mod tool. In the recovery mode you will have to first up choose the option of “Wipe data/factory reset” as this option clears all the cache which is present on your phone and then you also needs to clear all the user data by selecting the option of “Yes – delete all user data”.
• To be double secured on the data deletion, you also needs to select the option called Cache Partition by choosing the option of “Yes Wipe Cache” which clears that too.
• Now after this go to the “Advance and select ‘Wipe Dalvik Cache” and then clear the same too and then choose the option of “Go Back” to revert back to the original screen.
• Now, choose the option of “Install zip from SD Card’ > ‘Choose zip from SD card” and then select the MIUI Zip file which you have placed the same in your phone to proceed with the installation process.

So, after a maximum of around not more than 5 minutes, the installation process will be finished and then you will see that the phone will be rebooted. Once the installation is completed, you may need to select the option of “Go Back”. So, once it’s done you will have to select the option of “reboot system now”. That’s it as soon as you finish this process, you will see that the MIUI ROM has been successfully flashed on your phone.
